Dwayne Wade kicked off Wade’s WorldFoundation at The Mid, hosted by Nelly, Thursday night with appearances by The Landon Twins, Namirajj (Winners of D. Wade’s “Chicago Has Talent” 2010) and WGCI radio personality, UB Rodriguez. The four-day, star-studded fundraising event included the highly anticipated “Chicago Has Talent”  youth showcase at The Chicago Theater. The weekend closed out  Sunday morning with “Chicago Has Talent GOSPEL.”

Media Relations: National Weatherization Day Press Conference

As a part of Energy Awareness Month, CEDA celebrated National Weatherization Day as an opportunity to not only highlight the benefits and importance of home weatherization,but to also showcase the impact of the work that CEDA does in communities throughout Cook county.

The IGA Coca-Cola Institute is a people development organization founded by IGA (Independent Grocers Alliance) with the support of The Coca-Cola Company. The Institute has provided learning resources for food retailers worldwide. As an educational organization, it serves more than 5,000 businesses with blended training programs that include more than 90 industry-specific online courses divided into eight different libraries. The Institute also provides non-IGA retailers and associations with their own branded online corporate universities

Community Relations & Event: CEDA and City of Evanston Affordable Living Fair

To meet the goal of weatherizing 9,000, I managed an outreach event in the City of Evanston. The event attracted over 500 income eligible residents.

The fair was part of the City of Evanston on-going sustainabilityprogram with a particular focus onraising awareness of free weatherization assistance programs available to Evanston residents.
